This can make a cup of tea an excellent alternative. You may already be aware that a classic brew has less caffeine than coffee, so that can be a good switch to make to lower caffeine intake without weening yourself off completely.

However, there are also teas that are completely caffeine free naturally. Herbal teas are a great caffeine free source that can still offer a boost without the effects on your nervous system that caffeine has, albeit in a different way. In particular, chicory root tea can give you that much needed but of pep, if you can become accustom to the taste.

It’s Choked Full of Antioxidants

Another benefit of tea that you may have heard is that its full of antioxidants, but you may not be aware of what the purpose of these actually are. Antioxidants are what help keep the body young. The unavoidable effects of ageing can be somewhat slowed by getting a sufficient number of antioxidants and tea is especially good for this.

Generally, all teas have high numbers of antioxidants within them, but certain types have more than others. White tea – that’s the leaf, not adding milk – is particularly full of them. This is because of the minimal amount of processing that this type of leaf goes through, which can reduce the quantity of antioxidants present in each cup.

It Can Help Soothe Digestion
